Virtual and Homeschool Students

Virtual and Homeschool students are eligible to take the National Spanish Examinations. Virtual and Homeschool teachers must make arrangements for their students to take the exam under the supervision of a participating teacher in an accredited institution. This requirement ensures that no one can challenge any student's exam results.

It is the responsibility of the virtual or homeschool teacher to find a sponsoring teacher in an accredited institution (called the sponsoring school). The virtual or homeschool students must take the exam at the sponsoring school when the sponsoring teacher administers the exam to his/her students. If the virtual or homeschool teacher needs assistance finding a sponsoring teacher, they should call the National Spanish Exam office at (219) 465-2100.

NOTE: Neither virtual/homeschool teachers nor the sponsoring teacher should register virtual or homeschool students. The deadline for homeschool registrations is January 15.
