November 2021
This November Shout-Out goes to a teacher of both Portuguese and Spanish, Señora Augusta Costa of Mt. Hope High School from Bristol, Rhode Island!
Deborah DiBiase, principal at Mt. Hope says the following about Señora Costa: “To say that Augusta is a versatile teacher would be an understatement: she has taught both Portuguese and Spanish...ranging from middle school through Advanced Placement. Augusta matches her passion for language & culture with pedagogical expertise and a genuine love for her students. She is a Co-Founder of the MHHS World Language Honor Society, she has participated in the implementation of our Seal of Biliteracy program and she has led multiple trips abroad. Her designs have led to the overall success of the World Language Department. With dedication and integrity, Señora Costa continues to share her love of the Portuguese & Spanish languages and cultures and to inspire both teachers and students to reach new levels of excellence.”
Thank you, Señora Costa, for everything you do for your students!
¡Todos a una! Todos por um!
